Three crazy elephant maps. Elephants Nothing is the most hard-core one. Elephant Michi is the best one. Elephant Tunnel is to be considered a preview alpha version. Map sizes are smaller than normal, such that "Tiny" is 36x36, a.k.a. "Ultra Small" / "Smallest" / "Tiniest", and "Ludicrous" is 100x100, still smaller than a normal "Tiny" map. I have tried to support 8-player games even on the smallest map. Elephants Nothing Warning: This map can be brutally annoying. Like Forest Nothing, but with wild elephants instead of trees. Elephants are the best – but also the most hazardous – source of food. They are also obstacles. Players start with a little extra wood, to give every civilization a chance. The official AI stagnates on this map. I consider making an AI for it later. Tips: Save wood for a market. Building is difficult. Elephants killed by hunters cannot be built over (until depleted), but those ruined by buildings or military units can. This can be (ab)used for development, offence, and defence. Trade *can* be a better gold source than selling food. Imagine wagons filled with ivory... Pick civilization wisely, if allowed. Or be a gentleman/lady and play elephant civs only. 11 Recommended team setups, wrt. player number: Free for all, a diplomatic nightmare: - - - - - - - - Team left vs team right 1v1 / 2v2 / 3v3 / 4v4: 1 2 [1 2 [2 1 [2 1]]] Interleaved: 4v4: 1 2 1 2 1 2 1 2 Elephant Michi This almost explains itself. There is no forest separating the players, but a Great Meat Wall of elephants instead. Otherwise, there are very scarce resources per player and per team. Indestructible Gaia markets spawn in the corners when teams are insufficient. Elephant Tunnel Like Amazon Tunnel, but with the main forest replaced by elephants. There is a Gaia market in the center. Remember to check "Team together".
